Our playgroup provides a caring, stimulating and safe environment for children from 3-5 yrs of age; offering a range of equipment to encourage intellectual, physical, social and emotional development.
Equipment used is especially chosen to meet the needs of 3-5 yr olds, including those with special needs.
The atmosphere is friendly and caring, and our aim is to help children to learn through play. Each child is allowed to progress at his or her own rate.
The maximum no of children catered for each session is 24. Five permanent staff are present each session, one of whom is trained in special needs. Parents are welcome to help in playgroup,. We value the help and input our parents / carers provide.
The Methodist Church Playgroup holds sessions Mon – Fri Term time, beginning at 8:45am and finishing at 11:45am. Our charge is £6 per child, per session. “Haverhill Methodist Church Playgroup” is registered by Ofsted and therefore children are funded after their 3rd birthday. These children are entitled to a maximum of 5, 3 hour sessions of free nursery education a week.
